Welcome to the Kitchen

Welcome to the Kitchen

I've spent the last two years cooking through every Southeast Asian restaurant within 20 miles of Plano. Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Indonesian, Malaysian — I've ordered the same dish at 10 different places, taken notes, gone home, tried to recreate it, and then gone back to compare.

What I learned: most restaurant recipes aren't secrets. They're just techniques nobody bothers to write down properly. The difference between a good green curry at home and the one you get at your favorite Thai spot isn't magic — it's coconut cream, high heat, and not rushing the aromatics.

This blog is the result. Creative SE Asian recipes, tested in my kitchen against the restaurants I deliver from. Every post here has been cooked, tasted, adjusted, and cooked again. If it's here, it's worth making.

I cook, I eat, I iterate. Welcome to the kitchen.
